Teeth Crowns
Serving Dallas, Highland Park, Plano, Fort Worth, and Surrounding Areas
It can be embarrassing to face the world when your teeth are severely cracked, chipped or otherwise noticeable damaged. There are many procedures available to repair such teeth, however. For severe damage, tooth crowns are typically the best option.
Teeth crowns are ceramic prosthetic devices which completely cover a damaged tooth. They're commonly known as "caps," although some people have a negative association with that word. Crowns are neither large nor fake-looking.
Tooth crowns are made of porcelain, which resembles real teeth in both color and texture. Additionally, before the tooth crown is attached, a portion of your real, damaged tooth is removed. This ensures that the crowns fit into your mouth naturally, and are the same size as your existing teeth.
Applying the tooth crown takes about two or three appointments, over the course of a month. The crowns are created based on a mold of your existing teeth. They are colored by Dr. Strader to match the rest of your smile. The crowns are attached with dental cement and, with regular brushing and flossing, will last a lifetime.
If you have damaged teeth, crowns are just one option available. The best way to determine what procedure is best for your situation is to meet with Dr. Strader for a free consultation. For over 30 years, Dr. Daniel Strader has been improving smiles throughout the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex area, including the cities of Arlington and Plano.
